Crunchy Nacho Crescent Dogs {Tablespoon Tuesdays}

Ohhhhhh good heavens.

“What did she DO?”

“I have absolutely no idea.”

“I mean, what the donk IS that thing? Is that some sort of chip coating on the outside?”

“I can’t see it. My eyeballs still hurt.”

“Should we tell her her trash is showing?”

“It won’t help.”

I know. I know. BUT HARK. Check this out. Yesterday I actually sat down with pen and paper and wrote down recipe ideas for the rest of this week. This seriously hasn’t happened since May. Of 1939.

OMG, speaking of, have you heard that The Wizard of Oz is being released in THREE DEE this September to celebrate its 75th anniversary!? You don’t understand, I’m a WofO FA-REAK. I even played Dorothy in my regional theater I mean theatre group back in 1995! That’s right I did, yo. Smashed that witch to pieces. My Toto was fake, but it’s okay, I’m almost over it.

Anyway, isn’t that so exciting?

AND, I just got some of those hair tie things that don’t dent your hair. It’s great news all over the place ’round HER.

Oh, right. These hot dog thingies. Just go get your kids. They’ll understand.

Crunchy Nacho Crescent Dogs for your END OF SUMMER TREATS before the kids go back to school and you don’t have to hide the gin in your bedside table anymore.

Oh crap did I say that out loud?

That's really cool that you played Dorothy and all, and I don't want to upstage you, but I was a member of the Lullaby League in my school's production of Wizard of Oz. Yeah, I know.

Glinda repre-SENT here! And I had this ridiculous wig that weighed about 106 pounds, and one performance it got caught in the curtain as I was floating by it, and it sort of went lopsided, so the middle part ended up down towards my ear, and it ended up looking like the wig was eating my face. But being the Act-OR that I was, the show went on!

Also, my boyfriend would probably die on the spot (in a good way!) if I made this for him.

Yes, yes! http://www.thetwistband.com/ These were given to me, but I'm sure you can get them everywhere!

Yes! Here you go. http://www.thetwistband.com/ I'm sure there are a ton of other companies that make them, but these were given to me, and I dig 'em so far!

This recipe sounds delicious and pretty much exactly what I wish I had had for lunch today (instead of a boring salad....snooorrre). Also, I too played Dorothy in the mid-90's when I was in 8th grade. My Toto was played by a short 6th grader. Fake Toto, small human Toto...you choose which is weirder.

So... about these non-denting hair tie thingy-ma-jiggers... I need that. I have an unfortunate relationship with the convenience of a pony tail and the non-committal nature of how I want to wear my hair. Weird hair blumpy things for daaaaaaays. Not cute. Also... these looks silly good. I feel like my husband might love me more if I made them. If you ask him about his favorite foods, he usually just says "something crunchy" or "something sandwich."

Those crunchy dogs look...um...erotic! (Despicable me always having filthy thoughts!) Kidding aside, I love your rendition/treatment of dogs...a must try :) And your dogs look so irresistibly erotic! (oops I said it again!)

I played the Glinda the Good Witch in my 6th grade play. Highlight of my elementary school life. Beat the Giant Mince Pie I played earlier that year. ! I had no idea they were releasing the movie in 3D. These hotdogs look yummy. I can see these being made for the kiddos when I'm babysitting.

Adrienne had a hot dog ONE TIME in her life at a neighbors house - like 6 months ago - and she still asks for one every dang day. Her day (year) would be MADE if I set one of these puppies down in front of her.

Crushed cheddar crackers on the outside!? Genius. I'm pretty sure I briefly met/saw you at Go Blog Social, but I was embarrassingly geeking out over Jessica that I don't think I really said Hi like a normal person. Sorry about that! But so glad I found your blog! Also, I love those twist bands so much.
