Gift Guide: For the Skin Care and Makeup Lovers

Gift Guide Number Two! Let’s tackle some simple skin care and makeup. Mostly makeup. Lil’ bit of skin care. Tiny bit. Never mind.

  1. You know my love for Merit makeup. It’s on the luxurious side, price point wise and quality wise. (I have a couple of simple dupes down below if this isn’t the game right now.) It glides, it nourishes, it’s silky and creamy. Great for year-round wear and feels divine on the face. This is The Uniform, and it acts as a foundation, but is very lightweight and just glorious. Get it.

2) This is the Perfecting Complexion Stick! It’s gorgeous. Glides right on without any caking. You need.

3) My favorite blush of all time – the Flush Balm Cream Blush in terracotta. I looooove this color, and it’s like, the lightest cream on the face. Can’t say enough about it. Grab it.

4) And the Day Glow Highlighting Balm. Wow. It highlights just where you want it to, without looking like cooking oil. It’s fabulous. Another fantastic Merit product. Try them all!

5) Okay, I received this Uni-Brow eyebrow stick in a Pinch Me box and I will rave about this inexpensive and BRILLIANT pencil for the rest of ever. I have finicky, thin eyebrows, and they work a wonder like I’ve never seen before. I was relieved to see the price on Amazon for when I run out. Honestly though, the one color works for every brow (it’s weird how it does that!) and fills in naturally. I’m blown away. Truly. Expect me to talk about this one for years.

6) Here’s a great dupe for the Uniform up there. The Glotion. Inexpensive and effective. Gives the glow without the grease. I’ve used it a few years now and really do love it. Grab it!

7) Okay, this is another product I got in the Pinch Me box, and I dig it! It’s the Winky Lux liquid blush, so go sparingly. I like this shade better than the pink that I received. The coverage is gorgeous and light. You like, dot it on and blend with your finger or a brush. It’s great. Try it!

8) I will rave about this product forever. The Elemis cleansing balm. But listen, I don’t use it to cleanse. I put it on at night and leave it on. It’s glorious! Smells divine and leaves my skin sooooooft. Try it that way and tell me you’re not a convert.

9) Lastly, a Cover Girl shade of lipstick that just works. And it’s only five bucks! Makes the most fantastic stocking stuffer for the gals in your life. Plus you. It’s soft and peachy. Just my style.

That’s it for today! A handful of favorites that make spectacular gifts. Tomorrow will be the last round and it will be a rando mix of this and that. (hint: pajamas!)

‘mkay bye!

I absolutely agree with your love for Merit makeup! The Flush Balm Cream Blush sounds amazing - I'm always on the lookout for a lightweight, natural blush. Have you tried mixing it with the Perfecting Complexion Stick run 3? I wonder how they blend together for a radiant finish.
