Trader Joe’s Dinner Party! (Joe Not Included)

Yesterday morning, my good friends Carly (of and Carrie (of this amazing place) hopped in a car, scrounged up the little bit of sanity we collectively could, and braved the crowds at the new hippy chic grocery store, Trader Joe’s. You can read more about the adventures of our visit here.

To celebrate the store’s opening, and the fact that we no longer have to sell our organs in order to eat good quality, healthful food, we gathered for a quick Sunday night dinner party. Carly and Nick graciously hosted, as the rest of us sipped prosecco, nibbled on my homemade salsa and played with doggie shock collars. Well, the dudes did. We ladies just stared at them, rethinking the whole, “til death do us part” thing.

In keeping with the whole Trader Joe’s theme for the party, the majority of what we cooked was prepared and supplied by them. Meaning = we didn’t have to do much work. Hi, and yes y’all. S.u.n.d.a.y. N.i.g.h.t. S.c.o.r.e.

Here’s a little taste of the night, in photos.

I agree with everyone - that lens is the way to go! I also just realized that an unfortunate side-effect of being a photographer is that my left eye will eventually have infinitely more wrinkles that my right. Great.

Why thank you! I'm the SAME way. Except my right eye is the bad one, so I shoot looking out of my left eye. Wrinkle city.
