Quick and Divine

Our family is almost here, Aaron is inflating the blow up mattress and my house is spotless. Zen, people. Plus, dinner was ready before I could type “our family is almost here, Aaron is inflating the blow up mattress and my house is spotless.” I ain’t even kiddin’ y’all.

Simple Garlicky Shells:

What it took for 1 adult. (Aaron ate leftovers):

* 1 cup shell pasta (Conchiglie)

* drizzle of extra virgin olive oil

* 1/4th cup pasta water

* sprinkle of garlic salt

* healthy sized amount of grated fresh parmesean

* 4 basil leaves cut in a chiffonade

* freshly ground pepper

In a medium saucepan, cook your pasta until al dente. Reserve 1/4th cup pasta water and drain the rest. Put in a bowl and pour the pasta water over the shells. Follow with the evoo, the garlic salt, the cheese and pepper. Is your jaw on the ground at how simple this is? And perfect for a Friday night when you are wiped.  Do it!
