Frrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr- who lost their Wordle streak this week?

FOIST?
What even is foist? And this is in the past so you can’t get mad at me. It was Tuesday maybe. FOIST?
How many of us typed the word MOIST and saw months and months of smarts just go right down the drain? You, too?
Yes I see you.
You in the back! Long brown hair with the early 2000s highlights. I see you, too. I feel our collective pain.
Also I lost today. Won’t tell you the word. But I have to win at Connections or else I’m nervous about the weekend.
Also, you want to know what I want for Christmas? A Connections sweatshirt! (this should all just remain in my head) A friend in my Connections text thread linked us this. Isn’t that great?? I want one. I also severely need a life.
FOIST? No.

Okay, I’ve been posting some games in my Stories over the last few weeks. Games that have been introduced to this summer that are additive, easy for all and so much fun.
One is SkyJo. I’ve blabbed about that one the most because we take it with us everywhere and play constantly. Complete blast. It has been the unofficial theme of the summer. Get it!
Another is the above – Priorities. This one is geared a tad more for adults because you do have to think a little. But it’s fun thinking. Not like FOIST. Basically you have a turn. And you place five very random cards down. Each one having a word on it that may or may not have any meaning to you. Words like Walmart, Socialism, Beyonce, Deodorant. Just words. And you have to line up the cards based on what you think that person’s priorities are. (let’s hope deodorant is near the top) It’s fun and fascinating! And you get to talk about that person in third person like they’re not there and watch their facial expressions morph this way and that because THAT is what you think of them? It’s so interesting! Get it.
And the last one is called Hitster. (not to be confused with Hitler) You divide into teams and guess the YEAR of the song that’s being played (on your phone via a simple app). And then you put a timeline in order. It’s a complete blast. ESPECIALLY if you’re a music buff like me and know your shit when it comes to releases and eras. Perfect for a party! It gets loud and fun. Get it.
That’s it! What games are you playing this summer that we desperately need to know about?

Also, I realized something. I would be the absolute worst contestant on Let’s Make a Deal. We’ve been watching a lot of Let’s Make a Deal with the kids. (on some streaming platform, no idea.) and I would be the laaaamest contestant.
Why? Because I’m the opposite of a risk taker. You’ll give me $500 to NOT play, Wayne Brady? In. I’m taking the money and finding my seat. Because the majority of the time you get zonks! And if you don’t get a zonk you get a lame dining room set with lime green chairs and a weird shiny top on the table. Hard no.
I feel like I would be let down every single time the curtain was pulled back. “It’s a new caaaaaar!” Me, “Can I swap out the color? The model? Just take the cash value? Please don’t make me go get in it. I’ll trip and fall. Oh crap. Can I have the trip instead? Wayne!”
It has given us lots of laughs this summer to hear my disdain at these people who choose a box over the $2,000 they already have in their hands. Take the money and sit down, bro! Sit down!
Also we call it Let Us Make a Deal and laugh so hard. #needlives

Weekend plans?
It’s rather chill on this end! I’m squeezing in an hour of alone time this morning and hitting a couple of estate sales. Then the pool this afternoon with friends. Nuttin’ tonight. Tomorrow Nat’s having a sleepover with her besties (to celebrate a bday) and they’re dyeing their hair pink! The ends that is. I cannot wait to see this. Of course I’ll show you.
I’m halfway through Flicker in the Dark (I have my predictions) so I plan to churn through that delicious thriller. That’s really it! Three weeks of summer left, you guys. How are we feeling? (besides elated?)
From this week, a simple Cheese Pudding to get you in the best mood EVAR. It’s a decadent breakfast casserole that should be illegal. We’re so glad it’s not. And there’s that video.
Next week I’ll try and get a book club post up! We need to discuss what we’re dying over.
What’s for dinner tonight and also, did you get Wordle right today?
