Happy April! APRIL. I’ll never understand it.

Also, it’s our 19th wedding anniversary! NINETEEN. I’ll never understand it.

To celebrate, I’m giving you a mixtape of music we were manically obsessed with back then. Me with no jowls. Aaron with no gray. Most of these songs are from albums that actually came out in 2005. Others hover right around. 2004-2007 is the timeframe here. And it’s all indie music, duh. Because we were so, so hip.

It’s a lot of fun to listen to again, and remember how everything felt in that era. The basement apartment. The loft. Our epic parties. My waistline. We saw a bagillion shows back in those days (lots of these bands, actually), and it was just so.much.fun. I could stay up past 9pm and not turn into a pumpkin!
