It’s my 100th public mixtape! Also yes I keep posting photos of my garden because little else matters. You can dig.
I realized recently that I’ve never made a 1950s mixtape. Never! Not once! I mean, I’ll throw a few gems in other mixes, but nothing straight-up dedicated to that decade slash era. The horror!
Honestly though, don’t google release dates for every one of these songs because I’m fairly certain one or two maaaay be 1960, but I’m still a good person.
This is a very curated mix. It’s dreamy and croony and moonlit and nostalgic and takes you right to a certain convertible-y, poodle skirt-y, high pony tail-y place. It’s swell, from top to bottom.
THING IS though, it’s not mega hits. You know me, I try and go a little deep cut on ya. These won’t be what you hear on “All Out ’50s” but the vibe is just the same. Maybe better because it’s not ultra familiar. The mood is, the songs not so much.
Without another word, I give you . . . The “Crooning Jukebox and Hot Roller Locks” mix.
Hanky panky sold separately.
