We’re having leftover chili tonight, so I thought I’d post something from this summer for fun!

Yesterday a handful of great friends and I got together to get some
early b-day celebrating going on. In true fashion, my darling husband
came through with the best, most fitting gift for me. A food crawl.
Hitting four local favorite KC restaurants, we enjoyed Spanish tapas,
French hor d’oeuvres, more tapas and ended with authentic Italian. He’s
good. He’s real good.
So in no way at all was I surprised when
I asked him what he felt like for dinner this morning, while I jotted
down a quick grocery list for Whole Foods. His response? A full
bodied, giddy school-boy, hip hollerin’, American lovin’, “CHICKEN
WANGS!”
Dinner tonight: Grilled Calgary Chicken Wings, With Carrots, Celery and Ranch.
I’ve never cried harder for joy during a meal.
