Stonyfield’s Snack Packs! And Letters to Santa. Not Cleo.

THE TIME HAD COME.

To carefully craft our Christmas wish lists in honest hearts and flawless penmanship for the jolly man up north.

And by that I mean, “MOM HOW DO YOU SPELL ANNA AND ELSA?” Le sigh.

But we did it! Successfully wrote out our (their) Christmas lists for Santa, made it all the way to Union Station downtown KC to drop them off in the giant red mailbox and then see him in person and tell him exactly what was on each list in case he loses his glasses or can’t read. (<–their words, not mine.)

Also, I’ve been dying to show you more about Stonyfield’s brand new organic snack packs! You obviously know about their kid pouches, kid tubes, kid cups. But NOW they have these fun little pull-back organic snack packs that remind me so much of those little cheese and cracker packs back when I was kid!

Except instead of organic yogurt, they were probably filled with battery acid. LE SIGH.

So we took the snacks with us. Because I always need food on me, in case of another Y2K.

LISTEN YOU HAVE TO BE PREPARED.

Here’s Will, making he sure he wrote the North Pole address right on his letter.

I’m so obsessed with Union Station, you guys. It’s this MASSIVE historical landmark, right in the Crossroads Arts District of Kansas City, and it is just breathtaking. And trains. I love a good train.

It’s a stunning place to visit year round, but at Christmastime? Holy snowballs. Festively exquisite and beyond.

If you’re a history lover like myself, this interesting timeline of the life of Union Station is fascinating! I love a good timeline.

There’s this little play area with the mail drop tucked back in this other area where aaaaaaall these model train exhibits are. And I mean TONS OF TRAINS. Moving trains! So many.

Your kid will have a straight-up bliss aneurysm.

And you drop off your letters to Cleo. I mean Santa.

(is that joke getting old yet?)

(good.)

Of course, like with any appropriate holiday exhibit – a train to ride.  Natch.

This photo is blurry, but it makes me giggle so hard. That girl to the left be like, STOP CALLING HIM CLEO.

Aaaand this is where the snack packs save our sanity. And by that I mean, I finally get to people watch.

GUYS THIS IS WHEN THOSE FURRIES CAME OUT. I had to google them because I’d never heard of furries before a giant wave of you fell into full-on panic mode when you saw them hug the kids.

But they seemed nice! Methy, but nice.

After our snacks, we walked out onto a giant overpass observation bridge thingy to watch the trains blow through below. And when I say blow through, I seriously mean blow their horns so loud our ears exploded from our heads and the kids cried forever times 30.

LE SIGH.

Look! It’s the Arc De Triomphe!

Just kidding.

There’s also this cool Skywalk tube thingy that connects Union Station to Crown Center, where Santa is. So we walked through the tube (MY FIRST TIME EVER and I’ve lived in KC for almost 15 years.), and I sang Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas quite loudly because the acoustics were perfectly echo-y and when you’re a singer that is what you do.

Which THEN reminded me that last Christmas when my family was in town, my mom, sister and I sang in three-part harmony in the Union Station bathroom because the acoustics were bliss, and people came out of the stalls clapping! And it gave me such warmth.

The end.

Will’s face makes my ovaries scream in submission.

Snack pack cheers!

The snacks REALLY are great. They come in five variations – strawberry & chocolate chip cookie, vanilla & chocolate cookie, strawberry & graham crackers, chocolate and graham crackers, and chocolate & pretzels!

Basically your kids’ dream come true.

Aaaand yogurt coma for days.

(This post is definitely in partnership with my lover Stonyfield. But all ramblings and yogurt slurpings are totally my own. We coo?)

You HAVE to go to Science City next time you visit Union Station. I’m biased (I worked on some of the exhibits) but it’s totally rad.

Oh absolutely! On of our gifts from my parents this year is a membership. We're taking the kids on their birthday in early January!

btw..I have tried every brand of choc chips and many brands of bar chocolate, too. My only success (and it could be a fluke of the weather) has been with a Cadbury Milk Chocolate bar. It’s texture was okay, but I don’t always want to use milk chocolate..I personally like the more bitter dark chocolate better. Car Rental Cape Town

Hot Ukrainian girls are proud of https://www.thegirlcanwrite.net themselves, especially appearance. They always want to look good, which is why it may take several hours to prepare for a date. Most of them still appreciate people who can lead them. Ukrainian brides still rely on people who can take the initiative. In return, they will give you the love and respect you deserve.
