Slow Cooker Baked Potato Casserole

Mmmmmmyyyyokay. It looks like we’re going to make it. It looks like we’re going to pull through.

I’d say about 8 feet of the snow melted yesterday, along with my anxiety. Yay! We’re headed back to Fayetteville today because GUESS WHAT.

Okay, you might not know this about me, but somewhere in my youth (name that movie) I was a famous world-wide known rock star. Okay not really. But I was in bands all during my 20s, and I’ve put out records, and toured a little, and I played an off-white jazz Fender bass (that matched my off-white high heels, HOLLA) bigger than my body. Well one of those bands was with my husband. But before that he was in another band, and so was I. But like, different bands. But in the same town. And we were all friends. And actually everyone kind of dated each other. It got messy at times. But it was fun. And you want to wring my neck, Bart Simpson style.

Anywaaaaay, 10 years ago this coming February, Aaron’s old band, The Paper Hearts, released a full length that basically rocked the nation. Aaaaaand to celebrate, they’re playing a reunion show in early February! And they’re practicing tonight for the first time in 8 years! And I’m COMPLETELY DYING of excitement because I was then and will always be their biggest faaaayaaaaan. But Aaron’s not letting me to go practice because I’ll be all up in everyone’s grill and then they’ll want to wring my neck, Bart Simpson style.

Why was I tell you this. Hmmm.

OH. Because today we’re driving back to Fayetteville today so he can practice with everyone! And I’m going to make him listen to the album over and over over so we can sing along and I can sing too and then he’ll want to wring my neck, Bart Simpson style.

But I was telling you this for a reason. What was it.

OH! Because the roads are surprisingly fine after the 17 feet of snow.

That was a boring story.

By the way, check out this Slow Cooker Baked Potato Casserole if you have a second. Iiiiiiiiiinsane. In the membrane.

Okay you can wring my neck now, Bart Simpson style.

Maaaan why wasn't my boyfriend in a band?? Fortunately, you have just presented me with comfort in a bowl, topped with possibly my favorite thing in the world (a cheesy crust with bacon and chives omg), sooo I guess I can forgive my boyfriend for not being in a band.
