Triple Pasta Mash Up

‘Round here at the Halloweidner headquarters, we’ve definitely been on a scary movie rampage marathon extravaganza, and my soul is seriously feelin’ the remnants. Why do I do this? I’m already jumpier than a grasshopper. I’m already a paranoid lunatic on the loose. But I can’t stop. It’s like, my favorite thing ever! I make no sense!

Here’s what we’ve watched so far, and I need your thoughts on our LAST TWO NIGHTS of scary movieness. (wah waaah)

* The Mothman Prophecies (omg)

* An American Werewolf in London (had some dumb parts, but I liked it)

* Slither (hahahahahaah. and gross.)

* The Birds (LOVED the style and colors. Wasn’t scary though)

* The Descent (oh hey how about I’m never going caving ever)

* Cabin in the Woods (SERIOUSLY loved it. Crazy, weird, unexpected and awesome)

* and of course 18,356 episodes of Paranormal Witness (kill me now)

I’m basically falling apart at the seams. BUT I NEED MORE. So you have to tell me, what MUST we ABSOLUTELY watch tonight and tomorrow before I turn into a scary monster and take over the Midwest with my horrendous opera version of Zombie by the Cranberries?

Only you can save us.

And in return, I give you this life threateningly yummy Triple Pasta Mash Up on the Tablespoons. It’s spoooooooooky deeeeliiiiiciouuuuuusssss in your faaaaaccceeeeee.  hoohoohooHAHAHAHAAAAA.

(ps. ignore how strange my site looks like right now. a stupid ghost (me) accidentally janked it up yesterday by clicking things behind the scenes it (me) knows nothing about. it’s (me) grounded for life.)

    I hate scary movies, cuz I hate being scared. Just looking at the list of movies that you've already watched is freaking me out, other than American Werewolf in London, that wasn't really scary. I'm hoping that It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown will be on, to distract me from the terrifying images that I now have in my mind...thanks Bev!

    I need that pasta in the middle of my Halloween decor overload table right this minute! Hmmmm, scary movies. I have to say, I'm such a baby I usually stay away, but what about a return to the classics, a la Nightmare on Elm Street?

    Oh man... Looking at your list I gotta say you must be digging through Netflix instant watch, so... Insidious and The Innkeepers are both pretty good (and good at getting you to lower your guard right before a scare!). High Tension I hear good things about but it looks like they recently put it back to DVD orders only... :(

    So far we've watched Hocus Pocus, The Goonies (really ABC Family, that's a 'scary' movie?), and Halloween H20. I like the idea of scary movies but then I'm bouncing off the walls and making my husband get up at every little noise in the middle of the night so I usually stick to silly ones. I watched Orphan a while back and that is creeeeepy. And of course, The Shining is a classic! Good luck :-)

    Have you watched all the Saw movies? They are my favorite scary movies because they are psychological as well!

    I love the bake and love the wooden bowls stacked in the background. Totally rustic and perfect!

    I would offer up a scary movie, but all of my recommendations would be things like "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!" and "Hocus Pocus" because in my heart, it's still 1995.

    Ugh I hate scary movies! I don't know how you can do it. This pasta though--holy cow, definitely looks perfect for me and my growing rear end. :)

    I want to do the Triple Pasta Monster Mash! :) A few nights ago, we watched The Others (starring Nicole Kidman). It's suspenseful but not too scary. She looks stunning in it - very reminiscent of one of Hitchcock's leading ladies.

    I am loving all the scary movies on right now! I want to eat this while watching them.

    My husband watched Slither the other night and I nearly yacked in my hand when I walked past the screen. Our Halloween must-watch is "It"...that crazy clown movie from the 80s. Terrifiying and cheesy, all at once.
