Tapas-Style Sauteed Mushrooms

Duuuude, what’s uuuuuuupppppaaaa???

That’s my “never-mind-me-I’ve-just-eaten-a ton-of-mushrooms” voice. SAUTEED mushrooms, you freak! I’m not that kind of girl.

You know, sauteed mushrooms are not to be taken lightly. The marriage between the butter, the garlic, the wine…they are an exquisite treasured delicacy among the lands. And in my mind. And mouth.

One must not overlook the sheer power and magnitude of what this fierce fungus is capable of achieving in our lives.

One must ADHERE to the majesty of the magical sponge and offer nothing less than fervent devotion and maybe even some dancing around in circles when you CONSUME this FOREST FORTUNE!

Okay, I swear they’re just sauteed. Wow.

Read this little article right here on Tablespoon and I’ll show you what made me fall over in my kitchen and hit my head on the counter.

*p.s. There’s a picture of a tiny fork over there, you guys.  Yajustgottaseeit.

*p.s.s. How do you prepare mushrooms? Because I might freak out if I don’t know.

*p.s.s. Thank you.

Tapas are so major! Definitely need to give this recipe a try! Also, as if this world couldn't get any smaller, I noticed on your FB page that you're from Hobbs, New Mexico? Well, my husband actually goes there about three times a year for work. He is in oil and natural gas industry. Have you ever heard of a town close by there called No Trees? Anyways, I hope you have a great weekend!

You are kidding me! SMALL WORLD. I don't think I've heard of No Trees. How far away from Hobbs is it?! So bizarre!

Can't wait to look at this recipe! We usually grill or roast mushrooms with other veggies. I have a hard time eating them by themselves but Paul loves them.

You crazy lady! =) Your mushrooms look incredible. Yes, they are a 'fierce fungus'--and I'm fiercely in love with them. AND congrats on being the featured member of the week on Tasty Kitchen! It's about time, say I. Well deserved!
