Cookbook Review and Mushroom Soup

Something really cool happened.

Yes, I washed my hair, but that’s not what I’m talking about.

Do you want to guess? Do you like guessing games? See, I do, but it seems like anytime I crave a good guessing game, everyone around me groans, rolls their eyes and would rather discuss oral hygiene. On turtles.

Okay, okay I’ll just tell you!

I’m the newest “Featured Cook” on Cooks and Books and Recipes!

What’s that? Oh, yes I did finally trim my toenails too, but pay attention! This is neat.

What it means is that I get to receive (free) cookbooks, pick out a recipe, test and taste the recipe, take some pictures, write a little something something, and let you guys know what I think.

Um, let me think about itYEEEEEEEEES.

So, the first cookbook I received was one that sent me into an hour-long giddy dance, as it features food bloggers that I admire (aka stalk) greatly. It’s called Good Bites weeknight meals, and it’s GORGEOUS. That’s the cover of the book, up there.

I found a mushroom soup recipe that sang right to my soul. To the point where I could barely breathe. It knew it needed to happen in my life.

And then I had one bite of this soup and nearly died.

Head RIGHT DIDDLY DO HERE to read my review for this irresistible soup.

And then make the soup, for the LOVE.

*I was not compensated for this post, other than the free cookbook. All opinions expressed are my own, dudes.*

This soup has my name written all over it. See it? Right by the parsley leaf, next to the walnut. ;)

What a sweet deal you've scored for yourself! And if we get to see good-looking food like this, it's a pretty sweet deal for us, too.

Là je suis trop enceinte pour lire ce genre de truc. Je risque à tout moment de me faire pipi dessus.Je suis morte de rire dans mon bureau, heureusement en ce début de mois d'aout, je n'ai plus que deux collègues.

I wondered if you could make this bread in a shorter pan and cut it to make "rolls". What size pan do you think you'd use and how long would you bake it for and would you bake it on the same temperature as the bread? Thanks.
